ROTOR ASSEMBLY FOR TURBOCHARGERS
Arguably the heart and soul of a turbocharger is the rotor assembly, upon which the whole principle of a turbocharger is based.
The rotor assembly consists of a compressor impeller wheel and a turbine wheel connected by a common shaft (turbine shaft/bladed shaft). The turbine wheel is driven by the engines exhaust gas which in turn drives the compressor impeller, drawing in compressed air fed to the engine for increased power, efficiency, and performance.
Due to the nature of its role, the rotor assembly operates under high speeds, great power density, and harsh environments - the stable rotation of the rotor assembly therefore is essential for the performance and lifetime of the turbocharger. All our rotor assemblies are balanced prior to delivery with balance reports available.
